Vintage Japanese 4 Panel Sculptured Semi- Precious Stone In-Laid Table Top Divider

An amazing piece of Japanese semi-precious stone sculpture art in-laid onto 4 separate divider screens encased in black lacquered wood frames. Each is a floral scene. Scroll wood work at the bottom of each panel. They are hinged together and can easily be straight or curved into semi- circle or more zig-zag pattern. Very sturdy and heavy. A beautiful piece of furniture aw well as a piece of art work.

First is large pieces of assumed jade made into trees and leaves.

Second is a pale cream colored stone flower with jade leaves and grass. There is a broken off small flower bud which fell to bottom.

Third is assumed blue lapis lazuli star flowers with jade leaves.

Fourth is small coral flowers in two shades placed on a large tree trunk of jade with grass.

Below each panel is a smaller separate scene of shaped objects of stone.

The back panels are equally artful. Appear to be hand painted floral scenes which are raised. Japanese calligraphy at the top in raised gilt painting. The detail is amazing. In very good condition with very little wear of any kind to paint.

Measurement: Each piece is 18″ X 6″ X 1″. Full open is 24″ long. Weighs 7 lb 1 oz.

Condition : It does need a cleaning to wood. There is some wear to upper wood surface and upper back top panels. See photos. May just need a cleaning. The front is good. Two lower panels have a tiny moth entrapped inside glass. The upper panels are good. Hinges are good and intact.
